My name is Carrie DiNatale and here is my story...
I am wife and full-time working mom of 4 wonderful children. My husband Bill and I have been married for 17 years, so we have been through it all together. As a teen I was involved in basketball, cheer, tae kwon do and always threw in a little step aerobics. I have always struggled to stay thin, but it really kicked in once I hit my early twenties. I had my first son Drew at age 23 and found myself 50 lbs heavier after his birth. I did my best to tempt to exercise and eat healthy, but I was discouraged and adjusting to motherhood. My son Derek was born 22 months later, so now my struggle to loose weight and exercised seem next to impossible.
After Derek was born I did get my weight down to 190 lbs through a low carb diet and exercise. It was a long journey to loose and although I was thin I was not able to get as tone as I wanted. Eating low carbs is important, but some carbs are healthy. Raising two active boys and struggling with finances made eating low carbs next to impossible. I was also discouraged as I had been exercising so hard and not getting the results that I was working for. I started to add carbs back into my diet and the weight crept back on.
After struggling to maintain my weight to keep it from getting out of my control for the next few years we then became pregnant with my daughter Brooke. My max weight was 275 and I did loose a few pounds after her birth but maintained a weight around 250 lbs. I would go up and then back down consistently. We were blessed with another son Mason 6 years later and my health and fitness remained the same. I got my weight back down to 250 lbs where my body seems to be quite happy.
What made me realize it was Time for a change...
I knew I had lost weight in the past, but was not able to reach that goal again for over 10 years. My knees were bothering me, I had constant pain in my foot from plantar fasciitis, I was easily exhausted with physical activity and depressed with my physical appearance more than ever. I was turned 39 in January and in March of 2015 I gave myself a goal that when I turned 40 I would be in better shape then I was in my 30's. I already had the P90X3 videos and decided...it is time to commit.
I made a commitment to myself that no matter what is going on in my life I will do these videos 6 days a week. I started in March 2015 and now in August 2016 I have lost 60 lbs and 36 inches. This has not been an easy task. The biggest thing I want to share with you is that no matter how you feel right now as you are reading this....YOU CAN DO IT TOO! I didn't think I could do it either. The biggest tip I will share with you is that you need 3 things to make it happen....
1. A Fitness Program 2. Clean Eating 3. Dedication for life!
All the other times I tried to lose weight I did not do these 3 things at the same time! I would workout for 3 months, not see results and quit. It took us time to be unfit and it is going to take us time to get FIT too!!! It can be done. It will not be easy, but it will be worth ever second! Make the commitment to yourself, find a friend, your significant other or child to make the commitment with you or We will be there!
